Early on in the Cotton Stakes, Flawless had some tough luck with Austin Shepard in the 5/6-year-old Open finals. Flawless wasn’t about to let her Cotton Stakes be spoiled though, she still had Caylee Shepard to carry into the Non Pro.
Caylee Shepard took Flawless (One Time Pepto x MH San Tules Dually x San Tule Freckles) into the pen for the first time in 2021 during the Southern Cutting Futurity and came out a champion, the two have been a great team ever since. Still the whole family enjoys her.
This year at the Cotton Stakes the pair marked a 222.5 to win the Non Pro 5/6-year-old class and take home $4,756.47.
Missy Jean Ethridge, who recently crossed the $1 Million Rider mark, took home the reserve championship aboard Hot Huckleberry (Hottish x Sassy Little Sue x High Brow CD).
