The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and Time to Ride have begun outlining plans to strengthen the current marketing alliance between the two organizations. In preparation for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has partnered with First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” initiative to increase opportunities for physical activity among the nation’s youth. By challenging the National Governing Bodies of Olympic and Paralympic sports to bring new engagements to their respective sports, the USEF is pleased to partner with Time to Ride to bring 25,000 new youth engagements to equestrian sports in 2016 through the Time to Ride Challenge.
Horse operations in Maryland, Indiana and Illinois were recently named winners of the Time To Ride Challenge. The nationwide program recognizes stables and horse businesses that implement programs to encourage newcomers to meet horses.
A program that aims to attract new people to horses and riding has launched a newly designed, mobile-friendly website.
This year’s Time To Ride Challenge has been extended to offer more time for equine professionals to introduce newcomers to horses.
The American Horse Council (AHC) announced that they are accepting management proposals for the popular Time to Ride program. Time to Ride is an initiative of the AHC’s Marketing Alliance, formed in 2012 to connect people with horses and encourage horse-interested consumers to enjoy the benefits of horse activities.
The 2017 Challenge concluded Sept. 30, and after results tabulation, the Time to Ride team is thrilled to congratulate this year’s winning stables, clubs and businesses. Time to Ride has reached a major milestone by connecting 100,000 new people to horses. The industry outreach program, created by an alliance of forward-thinking companies and organizations, focuses on increasing participation in the horse industry by engaging new enthusiasts in equine activities.
