2013 NRHA Cowtown Classic Plans Finalized
The Cowtown ClassicThe National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) has hosted two successful events at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas and has finalized its plans for a third event. The 2013 NRHA Cowtown Classic will run Aug. 10-17 and once again will bring the sport of Reining to the “City of Cowboys and Culture.”

NCHA Eastern Nationals Start Monday
The annual National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Eastern National Championships, featuring competition for any-age horses and Open, Non-Pro, Amateur and Youth riders, begins Monday, March 4, at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds in Jackson, Miss., and continues through March 16.

2013 NRCHA Hackamore Classic Entry Fees Reduced
2012 NRCHA Hackamore Classic Champion Moms Silverado Cat and Todd Crawford.The National Reined Cow Horse Board of Directors has announced a reduction in entry fees for several divisions at the upcoming NRCHA Hackamore Classic May 1-5, in Pueblo, Colo. The Board approved the proposal at its Feb. 22 regular meeting in Pilot Point, Texas.

Master Remedy dies at age 33
Greg Ward & Master RemedyReined cow horse sire Master Remedy (Doc's Remedy x Wininic x Sugar Vandy), bred and owned by Ward Ranch, Kingsburg, Calif., died Feb. 14 of age-related natural causes. He was 33.
The 1980 stallion was one of only four horses to sire three National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Champions – Master Checks, Otoe Master and Masteroani. The other three stallions to accomplish the task were King Fritz, Nu Cash and Smart Chic Olena.
