More Major NCHA Events Trying Leveling This Year

At least three major limited-age cuttings plan to offer leveled classes this year. Officials hope testing the leveling system proposed during last year’s National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Convention will give insight into how well the class-restructuring system works.

PCCHA Derby Open Dominated by Co-Champions

The Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association (PCCHA) Core Balance Derby and Classic Challenge came to a close June 18 with Crafty With Cows and Reysin Kittens being named co-champions in the feature event after marking scores of 223. Crafty With Cows was ridden by Darren Simpkins, while Jaime Snider rode Reysin Kittens.

PCCHA Core Balance Derby & Classic/Challenge

The Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association (PCCHA) Core Balance Derby and Classic/Challenge will take place June 10-18 at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas. In addition to a full slate of limited-age classes, the Mercuria/World Series of Cutting will take place June 16-17.
