The Junior and Senior divisions saw a total 53 entries, and the young riders from all over competed for championship honors. In the Senior Youth Scholarship finals, it was Trea Rice and CR Sun Reys who bested the field to take home the victory title.

Shannon McCoy Named NCHA Senior Youth World Champion

Pepcorn SMcCoy 13AHShannon McCoy and PepcornThe youth competitors of the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) gave it all they had during the Youth World Finals, held in conjunction with the Summer Spectacular, Wednesday, July 24 in Fort Worth, Texas. The top 15 youth cutters from the junior and senior divisions rode in three go-rounds, trying for the coveted world title. Shannon McCoy and Aubrey Pigg were within one point of each other, but in the end it was McCoy who took the National Youth Cutting Horse Association World Championship.
