Denise Pipher, Diana Ragula and their dog Denver had discovered 10 horses and four llamas living in the midst of an estimated 14 deceased horses.
Fancy Hughes & Kenny PlattThe Idaho Cutting Horse Association Futurity & Aged Event saw a day full of finals on Sept. 3 with the Futurity Open, Derby Open and Classic/Challenge Open taking place. The Futurity Open finals held two sets of 10 competitors, and it was Fancy Hughes and Kenny Platt who bested the field to claim the Championship.
The Mid America Classic, scheduled to start today and run through Aug. 10 in Pueblo, Colo., has been canceled due to concerns over a recent vesicular stomatitis outbreak in the state. E J Laubscher, president of the Colorado Reined Cowhorse Association, said canceling was the responsible thing to do.
