Beau Galyean swung a leg over another winner at the West Texas Futurity – this time partnered with Metallic Cat son Stevie Rey Von to clinch the 5/6-Year-Old Open Championship.
The West Texas Futurity kicked off on Thursday, Aug. 9, in Amarillo, Texas. On Sunday, Aug. 12, the Derby Open featured 24 horse-and-rider teams competing for the title, two of which marked a 225, tying for the win.
