Casey Deary & Franco Bertolani • Photo by Kelsey PecsekThe 50th National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity’s final day of competition on Saturday, Dec. 5, featured many talented reining horses and riders, but in the end, only one duo could take the 2015 NRHA Futurity Level 4 Open Championship.
In mid-September, Shesouttayourleague was ridden by Casey Deary to a score of 227.5 to win the High Roller Reining Classic Tamarack Ranch Futurity Level 4 Open in Las Vegas. The filly was bred by Arcese Quarter Horses USA, of Weatherford, Texas, and is owned by Robert Curtis, of Fort Worth, Texas.

From the 32nd draw, Thebettertohearuwith and Equi-Stat Elite $4 Million Rider Andrea Fappani marked a 225, and many spectators thought that the Championship was sealed. Shesouttayourleague and Casey Deary had other plans in mind, though.
