2013 NRCHA Hackamore Classic Entry Fees Reduced
2012 NRCHA Hackamore Classic Champion Moms Silverado Cat and Todd Crawford.The National Reined Cow Horse Board of Directors has announced a reduction in entry fees for several divisions at the upcoming NRCHA Hackamore Classic May 1-5, in Pueblo, Colo. The Board approved the proposal at its Feb. 22 regular meeting in Pilot Point, Texas.

Master Remedy dies at age 33
Greg Ward & Master RemedyReined cow horse sire Master Remedy (Doc's Remedy x Wininic x Sugar Vandy), bred and owned by Ward Ranch, Kingsburg, Calif., died Feb. 14 of age-related natural causes. He was 33.
The 1980 stallion was one of only four horses to sire three National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Champions – Master Checks, Otoe Master and Masteroani. The other three stallions to accomplish the task were King Fritz, Nu Cash and Smart Chic Olena.

Ashley Snider & Sly Chance Pick Up Another Win At Arbuckle
Ashley Snider and Sly ChanceThe Arbuckle Mountain Futurity took place in Ardmore, Okla., Feb. 18-25. Sly Chance (That Sly Cat x Oaks Smart Chance x Doc’s Oak) carried Ashley Snider, Lipan, Texas, to a 224 in the 5/6-Year-Old Non-Pro for the win. The duo took home $13,089 for their performance.
