Denver to Host 2013 NCHA Western National Championships

The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) and the National Western Complex of Denver, Colo., have reached an agreement to host the NCHA Western National Championships presented by 6666 Ranch in Denver, April 28-May 9, 2014. It has previously been in Reno, Nev., and Ogden, Utah.

Past, Present & Future

In late July, I decided to put my house on the market, and by early September, I had an offer on the table. As I write this, I’m house shopping for something a little closer to the Quarter Horse News office, and packing and scheduling inspectors and appraisers and repairmen. Selling a house, buying another house and moving have got to be some of the more stressful events we go through in life. But, the entire process can also be a time of great reflection and introspection and inspiration.

NCHA Receives Final Payment from Texas Major Event Trust Fund

nchalogoThe National Cutting Horse Association, in partnership with the City of Fort Worth, received $2.1 million from the Texas Major Events Trust Fund on Sept. 25. The payment includes funds derived from the 2012 NCHA Futurity. The funds are the final payment of more than $4.1 million received from the METF for the 2012 NCHA Triple Crown events.
