The 1993 stallion became a part of the iconic reined cow horse breeding program at the Ward Ranch in Kingsburg, Calif., when ranch founder Greg Ward purchased him as a 2-year-old. John Ward piloted him to the majority of his Equi-Statearnings, totaling $87,762, both in National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) and NRCHA arenas.

Texas Cutting Horse Youth Wins Outstanding Area Director

austriaarnold-thebosscat2013 NYCHA Outstanding Area Director Austria Arnold and The Boss CatYouth cutting horse enthusiast Austria Arnold, of Terrell, Texas, has been named the 2013 Outstanding Area Director for the second year with the National Youth Cutting Horse Association (NYCHA). Arnold currently serves as an Area 24 Director, which includes youth members residing in Dallas and East Texas, for the Fort Worth-based NYCHA, as well as first vice president of the equestrian youth organization.


“A Slide To Remember” Coming To NRHA Futurity

aslidetorememberSince 2007, the Reining Horse Sports Foundation (RHSF) has produced a unique, entertaining reining horse event to benefit a local Oklahoma charity. The 2013 event will benefit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and will be held in Oklahoma City during the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. The RHSF “A Slide to Remember” includes celebrity guests, representatives of the NRHA Hall of Fame, crossover riders from other equestrian disciplines, Freestyle reiners, as well as Oklahoma City area firefighters and police officers.
