Cornbread Thinks: Them, They and Us

Jimmy BankstonWell, Cornbread and Buttermilk went to the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Convention. The overall tone was excellent and upbeat with plenty of signs of growth. The best convention I ever attended. It was a chore, even living 10 minutes away, ’til I walked in and was at peace. Family – it’s a very good thing.  

AQHA Announces Plan to Appeal Cloning Verdict

The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) has released a statement saying the organization will “take any and all necessary legal steps to overturn” a jury’s verdict that ruled the AQHA was in violation of anti-trust laws. See the full statement here.

Giving, And Saying, Thanks

As I write this, the North Texas area has been enjoying a much-needed, drought-fighting rain that is going on its third straight day. While there are a few detractors who moan and grumble about the overcast weather, most people have been expressing an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the downpour. They are giving thanks.
