Summer Showdown In Cowtown Cancelled

PedelToTheMetallPedel To The Metall earned $60,000 after winning last year's NCHA/Western Bloodstock Summer Showdown In Cowtown, but that kind of money won't be available this season.The semiannual National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA)/Western Bloodstock Showdown In Cowtown slot cutting that was scheduled for this month in conjunction with the NCHA Summer Spectacular has been cancelled. The suspension of the event, which was decided in early June, means a substantial amount of money that was paid out in 2015 will not change hands this year.

Grass Roots Cutting Will Be Held During Summer Spectacular

The shows, started as a way to give people a fun, low-cost introduction to cutting, are generally held in conjunction with weekend shows around the country. But on July 23, a grass roots cutting will be held during a major limited-age event for the first time.
