The Southwest Reining Horse Association (SWRHA) Futurity has seen top-shelf competition throughout the week. Reiners from across the country have traveled the miles, put in the hard work and arrived in Ardmore, Oklahoma, in top form to battle it out for championship prizes and bragging rights.
Big stops, flying lead changes and flashy horses took over the Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore, Oklahoma, during the Scottsdale Western World Futurity Non-Pro at the Southwest Reining Horse Association (SWRHA) Futurity Oct. 28. The Futurity Non-Pro was the highlight of the day, featuring 44 entries and paying out a total of $36,709.

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Derby Non-Pro finals in Manerbio, Italy, lit up the Palasturla Equestrian Center arena from the very first competitor that went through the in gate. A young group of up-and-coming riders performed to the best of their abilities, making the sixth edition of the event one to remember.
Draw No. 1 in the second section of the finals was Austrian rider Anna Lisec riding her 7-year-old stallion Tari Whizin (Topsail Whiz x Tari Badgekin x Doc Tari). Once the duo closed their run, a 224 appeared on the score board and remained unbeaten, and for the second year running, Lisec took home the Level 4 Non-Pro Championship.
To say that the NRHA European Derby Open finals on Sept. 24 in Manerbio, Italy, thrilled the crowd would be an understatement. The 43 finalists that performed in the four levels rewrote history with the scores prove it. In the Level 4, the top 15 scores were all above a 220, and posting the amazing high score of 229 was Pierluigi Chioldo with Spooks O Lena between the reins.

The Protect The Harvest Derby and Whizkey N Diamonds 4-Year-Old Stakes Open at the High Roller Reining Classic saw plenty of combinations over the 220 mark, but only one soared past 230.
With 90 draws in the Futurity Open finals at the High Roller Reining Classic, the competition was bound to be tough. But, it was the first horse to go after the final drag that proved to be the strongest in Las Vegas.
The Futurity Non-Pro finals brought 37 talented combinations to the South Point Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the show brought fans out of the casino to witness the action.
