2013 Return to the Remuda Sale Set for September 27-28

returnremudalogoThe Four Sixes Ranch in Guthrie, Texas, will host the annual Return to the Remuda Sale September 27-28. The sale will include registered American Quarter Horses of various ages from four historic ranches: Four Sixes Ranch, Beggs Cattle Company, Pitchfork Cattle Company and Tongue River Ranch. Three of the ranches are winners of the prestigious AQHA Best Remuda Award, which recognizes the outstanding foundation that ranch horses laid for the American Quarter Horse. In addition to offering some of the best horses in the industry, the sale also serves as an unofficial reunion for American Quarter Horse enthusiasts.

Since 1884, the Haythorn Land & Cattle Co. brand has stood for quality. Harry Haythornthwaite and his descendants have been recognized with the AQHA Legacy Award for raising top working registered American Quarter Horses at the Arthur, Nebraska, ranch for more than 70 years. In 1992, the ranch was awarded the prestigious AQHA Best Remuda, the first ranch ever recognized with the award. August 30-31, the historic Haythorn Land & Livestock Co. is conducting its last public auction to be held at the ranch.
