The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA), the governing body for the sport of reined cow horse, is inviting proposals from qualified management companies interested in overseeing all aspects of the 2017 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sales.
For the past 16 years, the Legacy Reining Sales, held at Cardinal Training Center in Aubrey, Texas, have drawn some of the reining industry’s top trainers and up-and-comers. This year was no different. To get a seat on the first day of the sale, when 84 yearlings were consigned, guests needed to get there early.
Overall sale figures held steady at the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity Sales, held Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Reno, Nevada, where three of the four sessions posted increased figures for average and median. The most notable increases came during the 2-year-old session, where Quejanaisacat brought the sale’s top price of $115,000.
Three horses in the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity Performance Horse Sale on Friday, Sept. 30 drew special attention, as all three had qualified for the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity finals in either the Open or the Non-Pro. Quejanaisacat fetched the highest bid of $115,000 on the first of two days of sales at the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno, Nevada, on Sept. 30. A total of 107 horses were sold through three sessions, with the highest prices posted during the Select 2-Year-Old Sale.
On Sept. 26, the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) announced a new partnership with Addis Equine, Inc. of Edmond, Oklahoma. This business partnership allows NRHA members to buy and sell consigned horses online in the comfort of their own homes.
Triangle Horse Sales, part of AuctionWare, LLC, will feature a fall sale schedule full of quality and diversity. The upcoming sale schedule will begin with the Triangle Sales Barrel Classic, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, in Ardmore, Okla., held in collaboration with Future Fortunes stallion incentive group, and then will showcase a ranch horse dispersal for McPhail Ranch in Abilene, Texas, Oct. 9, the following weekend.
The schedule will continue with an extensive Fall Sale at the traditional Triangle Sales site in Shawnee, Okla., Oct. 27-29. This three-day event will incorporate various purchasing opportunities, including Floyd and Maryann Moore’s 6J Paint Horses Absolute Dispersal Sale and will also continue the successful versatility ranch horse competition and sale, and more.
Reining horse enthusiasts will have a new sale venue for buying and selling horses in 2016 with the debut of the World Breeders Sale in Whitesboro, Texas. The sale, which will be held on Oct. 20 at the Jared Lesh Arena, is expected to offer 100 head of reining prospects and broodmares.
Strong sales defined the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Summer Spectacular Sale on Saturday, Aug. 6, with 90 percent completed sales from 121 horses offered. Produced by Western Bloodstock Ltd., the sale preceded the NCHA Summer Spectacular Derby Non-Pro and Open finals at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
The North American Equine Ranching Information Council (NAERIC) announced today the launch of NAERICHorseSales.com, an online sales system to assist their members in marketing horses bred by NAERIC ranchers. This commission-free website will allow buyers to view photographs and videos of several breeds of horses and have easy access to communicate with the breeders of those horses.
