Reining horse enthusiasts will have a new sale venue for buying and selling horses in 2016 with the debut of the World Breeders Sale in Whitesboro, Texas. The sale, which will be held on Oct. 20 at the Jared Lesh Arena, is expected to offer 100 head of reining prospects and broodmares.

Produced by Western Bloodstock Ltd., the sale preceded the NCHA Summer Spectacular Derby Non-Pro and Open finals at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The NAERIC launched a commission-free online horse sales website.The North American Equine Ranching Information Council (NAERIC) announced today the launch of NAERICHorseSales.com, an online sales system to assist their members in marketing horses bred by NAERIC ranchers. This commission-free website will allow buyers to view photographs and videos of several breeds of horses and have easy access to communicate with the breeders of those horses.

Miss Reycine, dam of 2013 NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year Reyzin, was the sale’s highest seller at $170,000.

Redman GB was the $41,000 highest seller at the Triangle Spring Sale. • Courtesy of Triangle SalesThe 2016 Triangle Spring Horse Sale, held March 18-19 at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, concluded with strong sales to wrap a successful first round of restructured sale dates for the venue. The total sale averaged $5,750, with an 82 percent sales completion, which continued a steady gain for Triangle Sales’ total sale averages.

Held on Feb. 20 prior to the finals of the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) World's Greatest Horseman competition, the sale posted a healthy average price of just more than $12,500.
