Held at the Cardinal Training Center (formerly Green Valley Ranch) in Aubrey, Texas, the Legacy Breeders Sale on Friday, Oct. 18, will offer 105 elite reining-bred yearlings. The following day, another 155 of the industry’s best horses will pass through the sale ring in the Legacy Consignment Sale, including proven broodmares, show horses, 2- and 3-year-olds under saddle and yearlings.

Rose, the American Quarter Horse Association’s (AQHA) All-Time Leading Breeder of Performance Horses, sold all but five horses at the historic dispersal, which was attended by hundreds of people from around the country.

NCHA Summer Spectacular Sales Conclude

A total of 184 horses went through the ring, with 155 selling (84 percent) for a net average of $10,205. That’s an increase of 15 percent over last year’s net average, which is a good sign for the market heading into the fall sale season.

Broodmare Tops Griffin Dispersal At $240,000

Well-known in the reining horse industry, Griffin Quarter Horses has produced some of the world’s top reiners and has captured several world titles. The complete dispersal featured not only horses, but also the ranch, equipment and tack. A total of 79 horses passed through the sale ring. Total gross sales were $1,468,600 with an overall average of $18,590.
