NRCHA Unveils “Run To Reno” for Non-Pro and Youth Riders

nrcha-logo“Run To Reno,” an exciting new fence work and boxing-only competition for Non-Pro riders, joins the lineup at the National Reined Cow Horse Association’s Premier Events in 2013!

“Run To Reno” is open to all Non-Pro and Youth riders who compete in any of the horse show class divisions – Bridle, Hackamore, Two Rein or Limited - at the NRCHA Stakes, Hackamore Classic Show #1,  Derby or Snaffle Bit Futurity.

Fort Worth City Auditors Clear NCHA

nchalogoThe National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) has issued a statement and released a letter from the City of Fort Worth's City Auditor, Darlene J. Allen, regarding the Texas Major Events Fund.

The Cattlemen’s Derby & Classic

The schedule for the Cattlemen’s Derby & Classic is posted. The event, planned for March 4-10, also features a live webcast.   Quarter Horse News will be in person during parts of the event and full event coverage will be featured in the April 15 issue of the magazine.

Arbuckle Mountain Futurity

  The Arbuckle Mountain Futurity, held in Ardmore, Okla., started Wednesday, Feb. 20, with the 5/6-Year-Old Open first go-round. It will wrap up Monday, Feb. 25, with the Non-Pro finals. Rita Crundwell Sentenced

  Former Dixon, Ill., comptroller Rita Crundwell was sentenced to 19 1/2 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $54 million from the community.     The Chicago Tribune has the full story.
