Western Horseman Stock Horse World Championship in October

The most versatile stock horses in the South will compete for World championship titles Oct. 28-30 at the Western Horseman Stock Horse of Texas (SHOT) World Championship. The annual event will crown seven new World champions who showcase their abilities in reining, cow work, stock horse pleasure and stock horse trail. The SHOT Futurity and Derby also brings top 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds to the show, vying for added money in the multi-class format.

Mozuan webMozaun McKibben, of Whitesboro, Texas, earned the Stock Horse Open World Championship in 2014.Stock horse enthusiasts will gather in Abilene, Texas, this weekend for the Western Horseman Stock Horse World Championship. The event is managed by Stock Horse of Texas (SHOT) and showcases the versatility of the stock horse. Riders will compete in six divisions (Open, Non-Pro, Limited Non-Pro, Junior Horse, Youth and Novice) for World Champion and Reserve World Champion titles. Last year, more than $75,000 in cash and prizes was awarded.


RSNC World Finals Exceeded 4,600 Teams

rsnc-world-finals-2015The 2015 RSNC World Finals paid out more than $400,000 in cash and prizes.There were a total of 4,608 excited and energized teams of ranch sorting competition at this year's Ranch Sorting National Championships (RSNC) World Finals, held June 8-13 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. This was the third year the RSNC World Finals visited the prestigious facility, and the sport continues to see tremendous support from equine enthusiasts all across the country.
