The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) recently announced the locations of this year's AQHA-NCHA Weekend events. AQHA-NCHA Weekend is set for June 5-7 in 25 cities throughout the United States and Canada.

The AQHA East Level 1 Championships will make the move from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to Lexington, Virginia, for the 2015 edition of the show, to be held Sept. 30-Oct. 4.

On Sept. 26, Dick and Brenda Pieper said goodbye to Texas Kicker. The 1987 chestnut stallion (Colonel Freckles x Angels Rosie x Mr Gold 95) was euthanized and laid to rest at Pieper Ranch in Marietta, Okla.
