IEA Western National Finals Are Around the Corner

Nearly 200 of the nation’s leading middle school and high school equestrians will converge in Oklahoma in July to compete for top prizes in the 2017 Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Western National Finals.

PCCHA Core Balance Derby & Classic/Challenge

The Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association (PCCHA) Core Balance Derby and Classic/Challenge will take place June 10-18 at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas. In addition to a full slate of limited-age classes, the Mercuria/World Series of Cutting will take place June 16-17.

There was plenty of attention on Jesse Lennox’s run on Cinca Im Hot (Spots Hot x Cinca De Maya x Dual Rey) at the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Futurity, although the pair ended up in the 16th spot.

The cattle in the Breeder’s Invitational Derby Open $10,000 Novice proved to be a tough bunch, but One Bat Cat (Dualin Boon x Little Cat Lena x High Brow Cat) and Equi-Stat Elite $3 Million Rider Tag Rice were able to pull together for a solid run.

The Breeder’s Invitational (BI) has been underway for more than a week, and on May 20, five action-packed finals brought excitement to Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the Derby Unlimited Amateur finals, an impressive group came out to showcase their abilities, but only one duo came out on top.

The National Reined Cow Horse Association Celebration of Champions kicked off today in Fort Worth, Texas, with the Peptoboonsmal Cow Horse Classic Derby, and I wanted to share with you my experience at a nearby restaurant called Lucile’s Stateside Bistro.
The T&P Tavern boasts the biggest dining patio in Fort Worth, at 5,000 square feet.

I'm currently in Nampa, Idaho, for the Idaho Cutting Horse Association (ICHA) Futurity and Aged Event. I love to experience local restaurants while traveling, so I decided to hit up a Nampa favorite, the American restaurant Brick 29 Bistro.
