Susie Reed, Sale Manager of the Marketplace at Ardmore’s Online Sale held Sept. 9 confirmed Hip #16 was the top seller. Bowmans Gun, sold to Circle Bar Ranch for $83,500. The 5-year-old own son of Playgun has earned $11,935 according to EquiStat statistical service.
Bowmans Gun is by EquiStat Elite $9 Million Sire Playgun and out of Bowmans Fancy Lena (Smart Little Lena).
“From day one when Mike and Brenda Armstrong decided to put this 2018 gray stallion in our sale, he generated lots of interest; so, it was no surprise he topped the sale. We want to thank the Armstrongs for entrusting us with their sought-after Playgun son and thank Circle Bar Ranch for their purchase,” Reed said.
Consignor First Class Horses claimed high selling mare honors. Time For Brilliance (One Time Pepto x Shes Brilliant x High Brow Cat), a 2012 red roan mare, sold to Charlie Porter for $54,000. This NCHA winner of $7,440 sold bred to Stevie Rey Von for a 2024 foal.
Stacy Nemecek placed the winning bid of $40,000 for the third highest seller. Tiajuanavibe (Stevie Rey Von x Tiajuanapep x Dual Pep), a 2019 sorrel rabicano mare, is a winner of $5,994.16 and was consigned by TLC Ranch.
