At $80,000 High Brow Cat Stallion tops Marketplace at Ardmore

On July 15, while the temperature outside sizzled, consignors, bidders and buyers tracked the action of the Marketplace at Ardmore’s online performance horse sale and one High Brow Cat Stallion sold for a high mark.

“This was online sale #18 for us since 2020, and again we had a solid sale with 86% sold and saw a respectable overall average of $22,050,” said Sale Manager Susie Reed.

Hip #9, Cola Cat, topped the sale at $80,000. This 2022 sorrel stallion by High Brow Cat by Mates Little Cokette (Smart Mate) was consigned by Lou Roman. Mates Little Cokette has lifetime earnings $150,457 and has produced the earners of $353,322 according to EquiStat. Kay Rankin Williams placed the winning bid, and Cola Cat will be in training with EquiStat Elite $1 Million Rider Ron Ralls.

Consigned by Circle C Ranch, Cattys On Time (Catty Hawk x Angelena Time x One Time Pepto) brought $58,500 making her the second highest seller. This 2020 sorrel mare was purchased by Mark Pryor and will be in training with EquiStat Elite $4 Million Rider Michael Cooper.

The July 15 sale attracted several new consignors as well as buyers from all around the country including Texas, Arkansas, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and internationally with a buyer from Portugal.
