On May 15, selling 34 head, of which 6 were sired by Metallic Cat, The Marketplace at Ardmore’s sale manager, Susie Reed, announced 2 of those were among the high sellers. Nine of the top ten sellers were sold bred, with a breeding or with a colt by their side.
A full sister to Stevie Rey Von, When Doves Cri, was the high seller at $73,000. This 2016 red roan mare (Metallic Cat x Miss Ella Rey x Dual Rey) is an NCHA money earner and sold bred to Badboonarising for a 2024 foal. She was consigned by Ken Leroux.
Second highest seller was a NCHA winner of $16,000 sired by High Brow Cat. Bet This Girls A Cat sold with a Dual Reyish colt at side for $71,500. Her embryo by Stevie Rey Von sold seperatly as lot #5 for $18,500.
The winning bid of $70,500 placed Peek A Cat (Metallic Cat x Peek A Boon x Smart Little Lena) in the number three position. This NCHA money earner sold as a 3-in-1 package – colt at side by Dual Reyish and a 2024 embryo by Don’t Stopp Believin. The 2011 mare was consigned by Neidhart Cutting Horses.
Overall sale average for the May 15, 2023 online sale was $23,518.
