$30,000 paid to Way out West classes at El Rancho Spring Classic

Rancho Murieta, California hosted the annual El Rancho Spring Classic with the addition of the Way Out West Cutting series classes. The Way Out West series boasts $205,000 in added money this year with the first $30,000 paid out on April 27 at the El Rancho Spring Classic.

Going last in the set, it was Morgan Cromer and Betchalou (Bet Hesa Cat x Louella Again x Dual Pep), owned by Clarke Butte Ranch, who took home the Championship in the Way Out West Cutting Series Open finals with a 226.5. They earned a check for $6,513.

Monty Buntin and Kat Play, were a point and a half behind to secure the Reserve Championship. The weekend wasn’t a wash for Buntin who took home $7,274 for winning the El Rancho Open Circuit Championship on Kat Play (Kit Kat Sugar x NQH Shadow Play x Playgun).

In the Non-Pro division of the Way Out West Cutting Series, it was Katherine Whitby and Dual Rider (Flo Rider x Bella Dual x Dual Pep) who secured the Championship with a 222 and took home $7,698 to add to their EquiStat earnings.

Yylee McCann and Flashn (Purdy Boy Flash x Sweet Swingin Melody x Peppys Boy 895), rode out of the arena with a 211, securing the Reserve Champion spot and $5,773.

Kaitlyn Laube and Cowgirlbluz (Once in a Blu Boon x Little Exotic Dancer x Smart Little Lena) stole the spotlight in the Unlimited Amateur division Way Out West Cutting Series Finals marking a 222 to take home the Championship and a paycheck for $4,912.  

Scott Roseman and Badgers Candy were the Reserve Champions riding out of the arena with a 219 and $4,035.

The Way Out West Cutting Series $50K Am Bobby Kay Davis Memorial Finals Champion is Ross Hardester and Rey My Belle (Dual Rey x Belle Mate x Smart Mate), who took the win with a 216. Jan Dunham and Cr Third Cuttin Cat (Third Cutting x Lucindas Catolena x High Brow Cat) had a great run marking a 215 to take the reserve slot.
