Montana Center for Horsemanship’s Hoffmann to Judge for Road to the Horse Wild Card Challenge

The director of horsemanship and head horsemanship instructor from the Montana Center for Horsemanship will be one of the judges for the Road To The Horse Wild Card Challenge. The event will be held Sept. 22-25 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Hoffmann coordinates and directs the Center’s annual colt sale prep class, Challenge and sale, in partnership with the University of Montana Western. Hoffmann’s students have also won multiple colt challenge events.

He is one of five judges for the Wild Card Challenge. The winner of this event will earn a share of the $25,000 cash prize and receive an invitation to compete at the coveted Road to the Horse 2023 World Championship of Colt Starting. Critiquing this talented Wild Card lineup will be the responsibility of the five judges, each of whom brings a unique skillset to the panel.

Other judges are: Barbara Schulte, Punk Carter, Jesse Westfall, and head judge Jeff Williams.

Hoffmann has taught horsemanship classes since 2008. He holds an A.A.S. in equine management and training from Laramie County Community College and earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in agriculture education from the University of Wyoming and Montana State University.
