Nominations Open for APHA State Directors

Nominations are open for American Paint Horse Association (APHA) state directors now through Aug. 15. An individual can be nominated either from a regional club or by themselves or another individual.

Representing their home areas, APHA state directors help deciding and direct association policy and serve a three-year term. APHA has about 110-120 state directors total, including those representing international areas.

Officials say every member in good standing as of Sept. 1 is eligible to vote for their area director(s); voting opens after Sept. 15 and closes Oct. 15. The State Directors Nominating Committee consists of six members appointed by APHA President Melanie Cox-Dayhuff, and they help review applicants and determine the ballot nominees.

Forms related to state directors, including biography forms and nomination forms, are available at the APHA website.
