Cutting aged event finalist Wild Starz and Superior rope horse with cutting bloodlines topped Marketplace at Ardmore Online Sale in November, officials say.
Sale organizers say 89% of the 36 head consigned sold for an overall average of $15,020 with the top 5 averaging $25,700 and the top 10 averaging $22,200.
“We welcomed lots of new buyers to our November 13 online sale which proves the word is definitely getting out, and it was gratifying to see what we’ve been working so hard to achieve – providing the best venue to sell performance horses – is happening,” reported sale manager Susie Reed.
High-Selling Horses
The high seller and high selling mare honors went to Wild Starz, an NCHA earner of $56,122. Consigned by Xavier Rodriquez, this 2011 red roan mare by Wilds My Thing and out of MH Milliondollaride (by Bodee Boonsmal) sold to David Meyer for $32,500, and is headed to North Dakota.
Lot No. 10, Mamas Jazzy Rey, was the high selling stallion. Consigned by Circle Bar Ranch, this Superior Rope Horse sired by Dual Rey sold for $25,000 to Rafter h Ranch in Eckville, Alberta, Canada. The 2011 stallion was out of MH Bodees Starlena (by Bodee Boonsmal).
Rodriquez also consigned the high selling gelding Isaias 45. Sired by Smooth Talkin Style, this 2019 red roan gelding brought $23,500.
At Marketplace at Ardmore’s August sale, the sales-topper was a 7-year-old gelding by Dual Smart Rey.

The next Marketplace at Ardmore Online Sale is slated for Jan. 1, 2022.
“We will continue our tradition of having a New Year’s Day Online Auction,” Reed said. “Our first consignment for that popular sale is a really good show mare.”
