Drummond Award Nomination Deadline Approaching

Nominations are being accepted for an award that honors young National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) members.

Each NCHA affiliate has the opportunity to nominate an outstanding Youth member for the Todd Drummond Memorial Award, which recognizes scholastic achievement, cutting, horse involvement and extracurricular activities.

Nominations close Oct. 1. The winner will be recognized during the NCHA Futurity in Fort Worth, Texas.

The nominations will be reviewed by a three-person committee appointed by the NCHA president. The committee will recommend up to three nominees to the NCHA Executive Committee, which will choose the winner.

Last year, Cash Carpenter won the 2020 Todd Drummond Memorial Award. Other previous recent winners include Nicole Pietrafeso, Maddison Murray, Morgan Griggs, Kolby Moore, Ryan Howell and Cheyenne Johnson.

Affiliates can find nomination forms at nchacutting.com.
