A new ranch horse sale will be held Oct. 2 in conjunction with the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
Officials say the Congress Ranch Horse Sale will feature well-broke ranch, trail and ranch versatility horses as well as reining and cutting horses. According to organizers with the sale, which will be conducted by Professional Horse Services, LLC, many horses that are successful in ranch classes began their show careers in reining or cutting.
“The “Congress” is produced by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association and held at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio,” Mike Jennings, of Professional Horse Services, said in a statement. “The auction will be held on a popular weekend during the reining, cutting and ranch classes at the Congress.”
All breeds of horses are welcome to enter the sale, although the majority of consignments are expected to be American Quarter Horses. Officials say they believe the Congress Ranch Horse Sale will have the largest crowd of any horse auction in America.
The All American Quarter Horse Congress bills itself as the largest breed horse show in the world and attracts more than 650,000 people to the Columbus, Ohio area.
