A daughter of High Brow Cat who is a multiple aged-event finalist topped the Marketplace at Ardmore April 2021 Online Sale.
Officials with the sale reported they sold 29 head, or 94 percent of those consigned, with an overall average of $15,517.
“We had buyers from all over including Texas, Oklahoma, Washington State, Georgia, California and Arkansas. Plus, we had bidders from as far away as Panama,” Sale Manager Susie Reed said of the sale, which was one of several online events the company has conducted in the past year. “Our online sales which started in July 2020 have proven to be wildly popular with consigners and buyers alike who enjoy the convenience and cost effectiveness.”
The top 5 averaged $33,500 including high seller Garys Stray Cat, a cutting mare consigned by Dan Churchill, owner of Circle C Ranch. This winner of $64,275 by Equi-Stat Elite $85 Million Sire High Brow Cat and out of Royal Red Pepto (by Peptoboonsmal) sold with a filly at side by Once In A Blu Boon. She also was in foal to Reyzin The Cash, one of the top freshman cutting sires of 2021.
Officials say Lucas Oil placed the winning bid of $56,000 for this 2009 red roan mare.
Second High Seller
The second highest seller, Mo Metallic, consigned by Joyce Katz went to Jennifer King for $36,000. This 2014 bay roan mare by Equi-Stat Elite $41 Million Sire Metallic Cat and out of Mo Flo (by Mr Peponita Flo) had an Equi-Stat record of $47,083.
The top 10 head averaged $26,100.
