Two NCHA Circuit Finals Producers & Locations Chosen

Officials with the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) announced the location and producer of two of this year’s regional circuit finals events. The events are part of a new national circuit program for weekend cutters.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based association announced the two events will be the Red River and Big Sky circuit finals. The top 30 riders in each class on the circuit will be invited to compete at their circuit’s finals.

Red River Circuit Finals

The Red River Circuit Finals will be held Oct. 28-31 at the Hardy Murphey Coliseum in Ardmore, Okla. It will be produced by Deller Hillerman and the Central Oklahoma Cutting Horse Association.

A veteran show runner, Hillerman annually producers three large aged-event cutting – the Ike Derby & Classic; the Arbuckle Mountain Futurity and The Non-Pro plus The Open.

“We are super excited to be hosting this event,” Hillerman said in a statement. “We are going to roll out the red carpet and make it a great event for everybody in the Red River Circuit. We have big plans and look forward to having a great show and having all the [Red River] cutters join us.”

Big Sky Circuit Finals

The Big Sky Circuit Finals will be held Oct. 1-3 at the CamPlex Multi Event Center in Gillette, Wyo. It will be produced by the Wyoming Cutting Horse Association.

“All of us at the Wyoming Cutting Horse Association are excited to produce the first Big Sky Circuit Finals,” said Jack Enright, show producer. “We have a lot of big plans for this show with plans for a live band and dinners to make it a really entertaining and fun event. We want everyone to leave Gillette in October happy and excited to come back next year.”

The NCHA says that for the 2021 event, all youth members who have designated the Big Sky Circuit will be allowed to enter regardless of their place in the year-end standings for this point year.

“Enright has been involved in special events like the USA v. Europe Non-Pro Challenge held at the 2019 Western Nationals,” NCHA Executive Director Jay Winborn said in a statement. “We are excited to see that same energy and passion for our sport brought to the Big Sky Circuit Finals this year.”
