American Farrier’s Association Moves 2021 Convention to Texas

The 2021 annual convention for the American Farrier’s Association (AFA) has been moved to Texas.

Officials with the AFA announced this week they would be moving the event from its planned location in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Arlington, Texas. It is slated for Nov. 8-12.

“While we are disappointed to not be returning to Albuquerque, New Mexico for this special event, the move was necessitated due to restrictions in planning a large-scale event there at this time,” the association said in a statement.

The AFA Annual Convention brings together farriers, veterinarians, suppliers, horse owners and students for four days of education, competition, certification, hands-on learning and networking. The Farrier Industry Association also hosts a marketplace throughout the week that includes many of the top suppliers and manufacturers in the equine industry.

The American Farrier’s Association was established in Albuquerque in 1971 to organize professionals and provide direction for the future. For more information, visit americanfarriers.org.
