The 2020 AQHA Select World Championship Show — which was postponed earlier this month — is back on the calendar with a new date and place.
The AQHA announced Thursday, July 30, that the show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), will now be held in November in conjunction with the AQHA World Championship Show. The combined shows are slated for Nov. 5-21 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.
The Adequan® Select World, originally scheduled for Aug.31 – Sept. 6 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, was postponed to help protect the health and safety of Select exhibitors, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“AQHA greatly appreciates the Will Rogers Memorial Center staff and management for their understanding during this unprecedented time,” AQHA Chief Show Officer Justin Billings said in a statement. “We look forward to the opportunity to still host the Adequan® Select World in 2020 to highlight our Select exhibitors on the world stage this fall in Oklahoma City. The OKC Fairgrounds staff has also been extremely helpful with making modifications to be able to host the show this November. We are thankful for the support of both facilities during this challenging time.”
The tentative schedule will be posted at www.aqha.com/worldshow, once the schedule is modified to accommodate the additional classes and reviewed by the AQHA Professional Horsemen and Show councils.
The AQHA said members who originally entered the Adequan® Select World will automatically receive a full refund. If an exhibitor does not receive the refund within three weeks of the postponement announcement, contact [email protected]. Exhibitors will have the option to enter the AQHA World Show when entry information is released in September.
