For the first time, the American Quarter Horse Foundation will award the Youth Activities Scholarship to an eligible American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) member competing at the 2020 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show.

The Foundation said its goal is to support the dreams of our youth come true by making higher education more affordable and accessible through scholarships. The Youth Activities Scholarship will be awarded to an eligible AQHYA member competing at the 2020 Ford Youth World.

Who is eligible?

* AQHYA members in good standing and in their last year of youth eligibility; AND

* Compete in at least one Level 3 or Level 2 championship class OR compete in a designated AQHYA competition at the 2020 Ford Youth World; AND

* Submit a completed application with support material by July 1.

Award Details

The eligible recipient will be determined by a committee based on their application and their successful participation at the 2020 Ford Youth World. Although competition at the show is an eligibility requirement for this award, placings will not be considered when selecting the scholarship recipient.
