NCHA Foundation Launches New Digital Scholarship Portal

The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Foundation has launched a new digital scholarship portal.

This portal will offer greater accessibility to scholarship information and will be used for 2020 scholarship applications which opened April 1. These scholarships are open to current National Youth Cutting Horse Association (NYCHA) members in good standing.

Capabilities of this new portal include allowing NYCHA members to apply for scholarships, access their current balance, make payment requests and track disbursements each year.

“We are so excited to finally be able to share this new digital scholarship application platform with our youth members,” said Laura Wood, NCHA Foundation Executive Director. “For many of our youth, scholarships are an integral part of the equation to achieving their higher education goals, and we are proud to be a small part of their journey.”

Applications for the NCHA Foundation scholarships will be accepted through May 15 and must be submitted through the new online portal. As in previous years, applicants will be required to submit two letters of reference; one from a teacher or counselor and the second from an NCHA representative.

“We are grateful in these uncertain times to still be able to offer $50,000.00 to worthy recipients this year and are humbled by the founders that put this program into place so long ago,” Wood said.
