NRHA European Derby Has New Date & Location

Officials announced new dates for a major European show on the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) calendar. The show, the NRHA European Derby, has been moved to this fall.

The event was originally intended to be held May 21-24 during the Western Horse Show in Wels, Austria, but was postponed when coronavirus/COVID-19 forced cancellation of the Austrian show.

As a result, the NRHA announced the European Derby will be moved to Oct. 28 to Nov. 1 during the international equestrian trade fair Equita Lyon in Lyon, France.

Last year, Equi-Stat Elite $1 Million Rider Ann Fonck won the European Derby Level 4 Open at the $203,630.66 -added show with Gunners Specialolena, a daughter of Gunners Special Nite.
