Pale Faced Whiz & Spooks Gotta Crush Tie at Florida Reining Classic

There was no separating Pale Faced Whiz and Spooks Gotta Crush at the 2020 Florida Reining Classic.

The two flashy reiners and their riders — Dany Tremblay aboard Pale Faced Whiz and Ruben Vandorp on Spooks Gotta Crush — marked a 227 to share the winner’s prize in the Level 4 Open on Saturday, Feb. 22. They each won $5,602.

Pale Faced Whiz is a 2015 sorrel mare by Pale Faced Dunnit and out of Ms Maggie Whiz (by Topsail Whiz). She is owned by Diamond Dub Quarter Horses, Marietta, Oklahoma.

In addition to tying for the Level 4, Spooks Gotta Crush (Spooks Gotta Whiz x Megas Sugar Baby x Marthas Mega Jac) picked up another $4,545 for winning the Florida Reining Classic Derby Level 3 Open. The 2015 bay stallion is owned by Vandorp, Inc., of Aubrey, Texas.

The two co-champions were among several winners at this weekend at the show. Earlier, the show crowned its winners in the Florida Reining Classic Derby Non-Pro.
