Futurity season is here! At the West Texas Futurity, 3-year-old cutting horses finally got to show their stuff in the spotlight of a big limited-age cutting for anxious owners, trainers and caretakers.
In the Open, A Mayzing Bluez and Tarin Rice had the top score in the 20-horse finals held Wednesday (Aug. 14) at the Tri-State Exposition Center in Amarillo, Texas.
Several other Open champions were crowned at the West Texas Futurity, which runs through Sunday, Aug. 18. The show is using the leveling format under consideration by the National Cutting Horse Association.
