Gunnatrashya Climbs Reining Sire Ranks

Thanks to the success of his offspring at the 2018 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity, Gunnatrashya is now the NRHA’s newest Two Million Dollar Sire.

An accomplished competitor, the 2006 sorrel stallion (Colonels Smoking Gun [Gunner] x Natrasha x Trashadeous) entered the breeding shed with an Equi-Statrecord of $236,457. He and Equi-Stat Elite $6 Million Dollar Rider and NRHA Hall of Fame inductee Shawn Flarida won Open championships at the All American Quarter Horse Congress Open Futurity, NRHA Open Futurity and NRHA Open Derby.

In 2018, the Arcese Quarter Horses USA-owned stallion had 65 offspring entered in the NRHA Futurity (Open and Non Pro), and together they earned just under $300,000 at the event, giving him a lifetime total of $2,166,218.70 in NRHA offspring earnings.

One of the most notable offspring was Gunna Stop, owned by Alexandria Gokey, who won more than $66,429 with Austin Lee Roush. The stallion out of Stop Little Sister (by Magnum Chic Dream) won the Levels 1 and 2 Open championships, placed fifth in the Level 3, and was a Level 4 finalist. Additionally, KR Ima Trashya (out of KR Ima Tejon x Tejons Peppy Doc), owned by Leslie Martin, earned over $20,392 and Gunnarickashay (out of Rondas Tio x Teninolena Badger), owned by Jody and Jolan Puno, won more than $14,994.

Gunnatrashya currently stands at Oswood Stallion Station. His top money-earning performers, according to Equi-Stat:
