Bradley, Dun It For Chex Headed To NRHA Hall Of Fame

One of the founders of the Reining Horse Foundation and one of the reining’s all-time leading dams will be the newest members of the NRHA Hall of Fame.

The NRHA announced Thursday that Bill Bradley and Dun It For Chex were voted into the Hall of Fame by the NRHA Board of Directors and past Hall of Fame inductees.

The 2018 inductees and soon-to-be-announced Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will be honored on Nov. 28 at Slider’s Night Out during the NRHA Futurity show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The NRHA Hall of Fame is a project of the Reining Horse Foundation.

Bill Bradley

NRHA Lifetime Member Bill Bradley earned his first NRHA paycheck in 1994 and has been a successful non-pro competitor ever since. His nomination celebrated how he spread his love for reining by supporting trainers Craig Schmersal, Dell Hendricks, Robin Schoeller, Fernando Salgado, Eduardo Salgado, Dany Tremblay, Barak Gibori, Shawn Flarida, and many others.

Bradley was a catalyst in the creation of the Reining Horse Sports Foundation, now known as the Reining Horse Foundation, and in 2001 became a founding donor of RHF and helped set the course for the future of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Later, he served in multiple officer positions, including president, for quite some time. Bradley has been instrumental in many fundraising campaigns fostered to support RHF’s core programs, either as an officer, organizer, or donor. His passion for RHF continues on today.

On a regional level, Bradley is known for being a leader. He served as president of the Ohio Valley Reining Horse Association for many years. Following this involvement, he progressed to the NRHA Board of Directors and then advanced to serve as NRHA President in 2005. During his term, NRHA’s expansion into Europe vastly accelerated, bringing large, active reining associations under the NRHA umbrella. His enthusiasm for growth continues with his backing of young rider and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) equestrian programs.
