Joe Hayes Memorial Service Set For July

A memorial service has been scheduled for longtime National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) judge Joe Hayes.

Hayes, 67, died Saturday night in a car crash in Cooke County, Texas.

The rider, owner and breeder of reining horses will be remembered by family and friends at 4 p.m., July 2 at the Cooke County Cowboy Church, 8207 Highway 82, Gainesville, Texas

Arrangements are being handled by Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, which has posted his obituary.

Hayes, of Gainesville, Texas, was a lifelong member of the NRHA and respected judge. He was a member of the association’s Judge’s Committee.
