AAEP Offers Continuing Education Opportunities

The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) announced a new series of continuing education events for current and aspiring equine practitioners.

The schedule includes the Summer Focus Conference & Labs, which will have three tracks—one of which will be exclusively for students—and present the latest evidence-based knowledge within a specific area of medicine; two 360° meeting that combines lectures and wet labs into an intensive “boot camp” experience; and the 64th Annual AAEP Convention in San Francisco.

The 2018 events:

* 360° Back Pain & Pelvic Dysfunction: June 3 – 6 at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

 * Summer Focus Conference & Labs: June 25 – 27 at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, North Carolina.

     Track 1: Integrative Imaging for Lameness Diagnosis & Treatment
     Track 2: Field Skills for Road Warriors
     Track 3: Clinical Techniques for Veterinary Students

 * 360° The Problem Mare: Sept. 16 – 18 at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo. 

 * 64th Annual Convention: Dec. 1-5 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.

 The Lexington, Kentucky-based AAEP was founded in 1954 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and welfare of the horse. Currently, AAEP reaches more than 5 million horse owners through its over 9,000 members worldwide and is actively involved in ethics issues, practice management, research and continuing education in the equine veterinary profession and horse industry.
