Like A Diamond earned NRHA Million Dollar Sire status in late 2015, boosted by performers such as NRHA Futurity Intermediate Open Champion Ru Missin Diamonds (PT) ($147,446), NRHA Futurity Limited Open Champion Gunnin For Diamonds (PT) ($66,911) and High Roller Reining Classic Derby Non-Pro Champion Premier Diamond (PT) ($65,990).

His leading cutter is Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association Futurity Open Champion Ifitaintgotthatswing (PT)($87,178). He also had a number of reined cow horse earners and several horses – such as $45,373-earner Diamond Bud (PT) – that won money in another discipline in addition to reined cow horse.

At the time of his death, Like A Diamond had sired earners of $1,735,259.

The stallion was owned his entire life by his breeder, Susan Hearst, of Paso Robles, California, and stood at Oswood Stallion Station in Weatherford, Texas. He was out of Diamond Jewel Wood (PT), a daughter of National Reined Cow Horse Association Futurity Non-Pro Champion Diamond Jim (PT).
