For the discerning buyer looking for their next prospect, several broodmares and plenty of coming 2-year-olds were offered at the Western Bloodstock National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Futurity Preferred Breeders Sale Session I. While none of the sales knocked it out of the park, the top five horses, all mares, each sold for more than $40,000.

Hip No. 3074, Magic With Moves, topped the sale when the hammer fell at $64,000. Consigned by Fults Ranch, she sold with two embryos by Metallic Cat due in 2018, which will kick off her produce record.

The 2008 bay mare (by Abrakadabracre) garnered $12,002 during her career. She is a daughter of MH Oh Cay With Moves (by Movin On Hickory), who also produced full sister SFR Magic Doll ($51,908), a finalist in the 2012 NCHA Futurity Open. MH Oh Cat With Moves won $75,898 as a cutter.
