Wimpys Little Nite is On Top of the World

There has already been plenty of action at the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA)/Lucas Oil World Championship World Show, and when the Senior reiners took the stage, the dirt-kicking energy didn’t die.

In the 15-horse finals, there were some of the industry’s top performers, but Wimpys Little Nite (Wimpys Little Step x Dun It By Chick x Hollywood Dun It) and Thiago Boechat shined above the rest. From slot 11, the pair stopped hard and put together a winning 221.

“It was just awesome,” Boechat said of his run on Courtney Battison’s 7-year-old stallion, bred by Mark Bradford. “He just did it all. He was there for me.”

There was a tie for the Reserve Championship when two teams earned a 220 in the finals. First, it was ARC Gunnabeabigstar (Gunnatrashya x Wimpys Little Chic x Wimpys Little Step) and Jordan Larson to put together the high marks. Then Whiz Boom Wrangle (Wrangle Whiz x Cheeky Boom x Smart Chic Olena) and Patrick Flaherty matched that figure.
