Chic Dreamin Big at AQHA World Show

The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA)/Lucas Oil World Championship World Show is still in full swing, and the Junior reiners added to the excitement of the event.

There were some tough competitors in the finals, but National Reining Breeders Classic Level 4 Open champions, Chic Dreamin (Magnum Chic Dream x Skeets Red Dunit x Skeets Peppy) and Equi-Stat Elite $5 Million Rider Andrea Fappani, proved again that their place was at the top.

They earned a 220.5 as the first to go after the drag, and those marks held the lead through the end.

“It was a good run,” Fappani said. “We went early, so I just tried to stay clean and have a nice run.”

Chic Dreamin is owned by Silver Spurs Equine and was bred by Casey and Kathy Hinton.

A 220 earned 5-year-old stallion Inferno Sixty Six (Gunnatrashya x Snip O Gun x One Gun) and Franco Bertolani Reserve World Champion honors.

Amateur Working Cow Horse

It was an intense atmosphere during the Amateur Working Cow Horse finals, because all of the horse and rider combinations were laying it all on the line to take home the title.

When the final buzzer sounded, it was Sarah Marold Clymer and her 10-year-old William Conttrell- bred gelding High Skippin Cat (High Rollin Cat x Miss Sundance Skip x Skip An Ace) who had what it took to take home the Championship.

As the second-to-last draw, they earned a 215.5 in the reining and a solid 221 down the fence for a 436.5 composite score. Those high marks topped the class by 1 point, and Marold Clymer couldn’t have been happier with the result.

“I am beyond excited and so thankful for all of the help I have had,” she said.

Amy Bailey and her gelding Callme Mister Mister (Mister Dual Pep x Travelin With Sass x Travalena) picked up the Reserve World Championship with a composite of 435.5 (212.5 rein/223 cow).
