Classic Open

Cromed Out Cat is on a roll right now.

Fresh off the West Texas Futurity 5/6-Year-Old Open Championship, the 2012 mare (High Brow Cat x Peptos Fancy Jewel x Peptoboonsmal) added another trophy to her collection on Tuesday with the Cotton Stakes Classic Open Championship.

Geoffrey “Spud” Sheehan and the mare earned the victory with a 224, banking $9,000 for owners Beechfork Ranch, of Weatherford, Texas.

Last year, the pair were the Derby Open Co-Champions at the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association (PCCHA)/Holy Cow Performance Horses Futurity.

Cromed Out Cat’s Equi-Stat record is nearing $150,000. Sheehan has won more than $900,000.
