Cow Horses Take Over in Oklahoma City

Amateur Working Cow Horse

Terra Micek and Nic N Chics were victorious in the Amateur Working Cow Horse finals. They earned a composite score of 436 to take home the World Championship title. Nic N Chics (Nic It In The Bud x Desire A Chic x Smart Chic Olena), who was bred by Eric Storey and is owned by Micek, had a previous Equi-Stat record of $41,552.

Micek, of Osceola, Nebraska, has earned a total of nearly $20,000 in the show pen since posting her first check back in 2011. Of that total, $533 was earned in barrel racing.

Corey Bender and Checkn Out The Ladys (Im Countin Checks x No Lady Wood x Zack T Wood) took home the Reserve World Championship with a score of 435.5.

Amateur Boxing

In the Amateur Boxing finals, Chic By Whiz carried owner Amanda Noyce to a composite score of 434 and the World Championship title. Noyce, of Le Sueur, Minnesota, posted her first check to Equi-Stat in 2011, and has since garnered more than $6,500 in the show pen. Chic By Whiz (Topsail Whiz x Prescribed by Chic x Smart Chic Olena) had an Equi-Stat record of nearly $8,800 when he arrived at the AQHA World Show.

Monica Duflock rode Oh Cay Meriah (Light N Lena x Meradas Oh Cay x Freckles Merada) to a composite score of 432.5, which earned them the Reserve World title.
